2-Day Workshop with Ann Randolph, the award-winning writer and performer Mel Brooks calls "a genious" and whose work has been called both "hilarious" (SF Chronicle) and "the kind of breakthrough dramatic experience one yearns for" (Huffington Post)! First time ever teaching in San Diego!

Saturday, October 26 9-5pm and Sunday, October 27 9-5pm

This is an invitation for you to discover your own unique and powerful story and the profound transformation that occurs when speaking it out loud. Topics include:

  • writing to stimulate memory

  • story structure

  • creating spontaneously

  • writing on our feet

  • overcoming performance anxiety

  • releasing yourself from the inner critic

  • transforming ideas/stories into performance

"Ann Randolph is a multi-tiered invitation and adventure in interiority, grief, healing; and her teaching touches a part of my heart that brings me to my knees…laughing, sometimes crying. Ann is a master teacher." - ALANIS MORISSETTE, SINGER, SONGWRITER, AUTHOR

ABOUT ANN RANDOLPH

Ann is an award-winning writer and performer. Her current solo show, Inappropriate in All the Right Ways, has been described by The Huffington Post as "a show like no other.” After taking the audience on an audacious, disastrous and glorious ride, Ann invites audience members to take the stage for an unforgettable evening.

Her show, Loveland, played for two years straight in San Francisco where it won the SF Weekly Award for Best Solo Show and garnered the SF Bay Critic’s Award for Best Original Script. Loveland also played to sold out audiences in LA and won the LA Weekly award for Best Solo Show. After the show, audience members would wait in the lobby to share with her their experiences of loss and grief, themes touched on in the show with absurdity and candor. In response, Ann created a unique theatrical experience at the Arena Stage in Washington, DC where she held a post-show interactive writing workshop on grief and loss.

Limited to 18 students

Tuition: $350 ($325 early bird special for registering by 9/9/19)
